'As a landscape gardener, Gail has been instrumental in restoring the once pretty garden, that we inherited on moving house.

Her encyclopaedic knowledge of plants and shrubs has been invaluable in discovering what was required to restore the garden to its former glory.  Her enthusiasm for all things gardening is infectious and she is very happy to discuss, explain or answer questions as she goes along.

Gail is conscientious and works extremely hard to achieve the best possible results.  Although not yet finished, the garden is well on the way to looking as it once did, with some enhanced planting to make it truly ‘our garden’.  We very much hope that Gail will continue to be our gardening mentor.

We have no hesitation in recommending Gail to anyone who has a genuine interest in their garden and is prepared to work with her to achieve the desired result.'

'We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to benefit from Gail's expertise in our garden.

She is extremely knowledgable and has given us excellent advice on new and adapted planting schemes in a couple of problem areas in our garden which are now beginning to look much improved.

We have a challenging garden but Gail has managed to find lots of positive solutions for us.

She is enthusiastic and energetic and has a sense of vision which has given us encouragement to continue with more improvement ventures.

She shows great commitment to the jobs she undertakes and we are looking forward to enjoying a more beautiful garden as time goes on thanks to her efforts on our behalf.'

"Gail has been nurturing and developing my garden for the past three years. In that time she has transformed it from a neglected space with residual hints of its former glory into a beautiful cottage garden packed with layers, colours and scents.

She has maximised the potential of some areas while remodeling others; project managed the removal of trees and organised the restocking of replacement soil.

Gail has always discussed with me what I wanted for my garden although I have always just agreed with her as she has a much clearer vision of what can be done. She even knows the Latin names for all the flowers!"

Gail has been our gardener for the last 5 years and has done an excellent job bringing our garden back to life and making it more colourful throughout the year. She has worked very hard at cultivating the existing flower beds and has spent time designing new beds to further enhance the garden. Her designs included lots of planting ideas for each area and the designs are well presented through sketch options given to us to assess.

She is always full of ideas of what we can do to improve it further. Gail is very knowledgeable about plants and which situations are right for them to thrive in. I am really pleased with all the work she has done and is continuing to do. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Gail took time to discuss the garden I wanted to achieve and added her flair to produce a beautifully constructed garden that produced a variety of colour even after just a few months.

Initially, Gail produced a detailed drawing of the garden, and this helped a great deal, taking in all aspects that we discussed.

Gail's knowledge of plants is immense, together with the important aspect of knowing where to source the plants.

Thank you for a great design which will give me great satisfaction and pleasure in the years to come as I watch the colours and seasons change.

“I have been working with Gail Peel of Nightingale Design for over 12 months and she has been a great pleasure to work with all that time. She came up with some really great ideas for our front garden and has made the whole process of redesigning and planting the garden very easy. Gail is extremely well organised, turns up when she says she will and goes to a lot of trouble on behalf of her clients. I thoroughly recommend her.”

“Gail developed exciting planting schemes that reflect her knowledge of plants and colour combinations to provide year-round pleasure as the garden matures – a pleasure to work with”

Mr and Mrs Knott, East Grinstead

We were so glad to get the help from Gail as we are both novice gardeners. She came round and advised us as to how best to plan our garden and what plants would be most suitable in certain areas. We were then fortunate to employ her services further and get her and her team to dig out our garden and lay the turf.

Without Gail’s help we wouldn’t have known what to do. She made us excited about our garden. She has so much knowledge and puts in so much of her time. She kept us up to date with all the plans and made sure we were happy with everything throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gail again.

"Gail has been instrumental in rejuvenating our rather tired and overgrown garden this year.  We have benefited greatly from both her design flair and her extensive knowledge of plants. We could not have been more delighted with every aspect of Gail's excellent service."

Mr and Mrs Savage, East Grinstead

"We contacted Gail to help design, source, purchase and plant a new raised garden area which is a focal point from our kitchen window. Gail spent time with us discussing our wishes as we wanted all year round interest and easy to look after plants! After a few discussions, Gail produced a detailed drawing which really helped us to visualise how the finished garden would look and also how it will develop over the coming years.

Gail has an extensive knowledge of plants and was able to suggest plants that suited the area and our needs. She gave us a detailed breakdown of type with prices and sourced good quality plants. After planting, a follow up meeting was arranged where we could ask any further questions about the new plants in our garden. A friendly, professional service and we would highly recommend Nightingale Garden Design.

"Thank you for all of your hard work in designing our beautiful garden. You carefully listened to our brief and have created borders that are colourful and vibrant from the spring right through to the autumn. The relative low maintenance is exactly what we wanted and your follow up visits have helped us to keep the garden looking fabulous throughout.  We could not have created this without you."

Dear Gail

I felt that you were very generous with your advice and ideas, and that you understood well what I was looking for in a new design.  You were able to provide me with a good list of suitable plants for the scheme and encouraged me to develop and complete the scheme over time, not having to buy and plant everything at once.  You had some practical advice for sourcing plants, soil and the greenhouse.  I found the planting plan beautifully drawn and very helpful when I came to start planting. Your team worked incredibly hard and quickly digging out the new beds despite the hot weather, they were polite, respectful and helpful. It was a pleasure to work with you, I think you are very knowledgeable in terms of the planting, garden design and maintenance of the garden and I was so relieved to find someone who made sense of my garden for me and inspired me onwards with it!

Dear Gail

Thank you again for redesigning our front bank which you have transformed! We greatly valued your advice and care over the design and very much appreciated all the hard work of you and your team.  We admired your business like approach to the entire project and the efficient way in which you executed it.
